The Auntie Way Writing Retreat: Build a Joyful, Productive Writing Habit!

The Auntie Way Writing Retreat was all that I needed and MORE! Every session was meaningful, intentional, and peacefully created for us to write with a collective. Having a collective, across lands and through Zoom, was a great experience for me to learn from others, be inspired to write, and complete writing goals. Thank you, Michelle for a beautiful gathering.

Once again, participating in this writing workshop helped me complete a project that felt overwhelming (if not impossible) to me. In addition to getting my article, revisions, and proofs completed, I mapped out another writing project that is now well underway. I am so grateful for the supportive community and Michelle’s mentorship. I am writing so much more than before, and most importantly, I am now enjoying the process!

Welcome to Anahuy Mentoring
Michelle M. Jacob, Ph.D. (Yakama) created Anahuy Mentoring to support her vision of teaching about the importance of Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
“Anahuy” is the Yakama/Ichishkiin word for Black Bear. If you’d like to hear átway Tuxámshish Dr. Virginia Beavert pronounce Anahuy, please click here and enjoy this free audio resource from the Ichishkíin Dictionary that our beloved Elder Tuxámshish published with Dr. Sharon Hargus.
